Powering Up the Chassis

3.3 POWERING UP THE CHASSIS

To power up the chassis, refer to Figure 3-6 and proceed as follows:

1. Plug one end of the power cord (supplied with the power supply) into the ac power socket on the

front panel of the power supply. See Figure 3-6 for the power connections.

2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a dedicated 15A/120 Vac outlet for the 7C203-1.

3. If you are installing two power supplies, repeat steps 1 and 2, otherwise, proceed to step 4. For

power redundancy, plug the power cord from the second power supply into a separately fused

15A/120 Vac outlet.

4. Set the 0/| Power switch on the front panel of each power supply to |.

5. Ensure that the Power LED is green.

NOTE: If two power supplies are going to be installed, repeat the following procedure for each

power supply.

For proper redundancy using two 7C203-1 power supplies, the power cord from each power

supply must be connected to a dedicated 15-Ampere ac power circuit.
