Differentiated Services Configuration
ThischapterdescribestheDifferentiatedServices(Diffserv)setofcommandsandhowtouse
them.
D‐SeriesdevicessupportDiffservpolicy‐basedprovisioningofnetworkresourcesbyallowingIT
administratorsto:
•Create,changeorremoveDiffservpoliciesbasedonbusiness‐specificuseofnetworkservices.
• Prioritizeandpolicetrafficaccordingtoassigned
policiesandconditions.
• AssignorunassignportstoDiffservpoliciessothatonlyportsactivatedforapolicywillbe
allowedtotransmitframesaccordingly.
Note: Diffserv will not be available if a Policy License is activated on the D-Series. When a Policy
License is activated, it enables Policy that takes the place of Diffserv. Refer to Chapter 3,
Activating Licensed Features for more information on Licensing.
